Research Interests

My research interests are focused on structural studies of proteins involved in the etiology of human diseases. These studies are paralleled by the development of new strategies for the in vivo targeting of drug and contrast agents for Molecular Imaging applications. More recently my activity has also been focused on the design and characterization of new paramagnetic compounds to be used as ¹⁹F and/or Gd(III)−based contrast agents for cellular labelling and Molecular Imaging through Magnetic Resonance.
