Research Interests
I focused my thesis on the synthesis, purification and characterization of MRI and fluorescent probes for imaging application (early detection of Prostate Cancer and Alzheimer Disease) exploiting conventional synthesis techniques and manual or automatic solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). Since October 2017 I started my PhD program broadening my knowledge through the study of CEST agents, in particular supramolecular adducts as non-conventional LipoCEST for in vitro application, mixing my skills between chemistry and biotechnology. To achieve purification and characterization of the probes, different techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, HPLC−MS, DLS, relaxometry and biological assays are used.
